I lead Hatha Yoga classes and specialized "Healthy Spine" sessions, meticulously designed to strengthen the body, enhance flexibility, and contribute to overall well-being. My approach integrates traditional yoga techniques with contemporary knowledge in rehabilitation, anatomy, and biomechanics, offering comprehensive care for your physical and mental health.

Hatha Yoga Classes

In my Hatha Yoga classes, I focus on the precision of asanas, mindful breathing, and meditation, fostering a deep connection between body and mind. Each session is carefully planned to gradually build strength, flexibility, and balance while promoting inner peace and relaxation. These classes are tailored to the individual needs of participants, making them suitable for both beginners and more advanced yoga practitioners.

"Healthy Spine" Sessions

The "Healthy Spine" sessions concentrate on preventing and alleviating issues related to spinal pains and dysfunctions. By employing specially selected exercises that strengthen the muscles supporting the spine, improve posture, and enhance the range of motion, participants experience pain relief and improved mobility. These exercises, based on Hatha Yoga principles, are enriched with rehabilitative knowledge, effectively preventing spinal problems and aiding the recovery process.

My mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment where everyone can develop their yoga practice, regardless of experience level or physical limitations. I place great importance on the individual needs of each participant, offering modifications and personalized guidance to ensure that the practice is both effective and enjoyable.

As an oncology instructor and a person with chronic illness who deeply understands the challenges faced by cancer patients, I invite you to unique yoga classes designed to support your journey towards better well-being. My advanced training in yoga, combined with my medical experience, allows me to adapt yoga practices to be safe, effective, and relieving for your everyday health challenges. 

 

The goal of these sessions is to offer personalized yoga practice that supports both the body and mind, providing relief from symptoms, improving quality of life, and strengthening inner resilience. The sessions are crafted to help alleviate the effects of oncological treatments such as fatigue, stress, and pain, while also promoting overall health and well-being.

Each meeting lasts 60 minutes and begins with a calm meditation to focus on the present moment and quiet the mind. We then move on to gentle warm-ups and a series of adapted asanas aimed at increasing flexibility, strength, and balance. Special attention is given to positions that can provide relief in areas most affected by cancer treatment. The practice concludes with deep relaxation, allowing for total unwinding and rejuvenation.

The sessions are conducted in an atmosphere of acceptance and support, creating a space where you can be yourself, share your experiences, and draw strength from the group. I believe that community support plays a significant role in the healing and recovery process.

Asia Macko

She has completed postgraduate studies in Rehabilitation specializing in Yoga and Relaxation, and additional oncology training, is an expert in integrating therapeutic yoga with posture correction. Her education focused on an in-depth understanding of the human body and its response to stress, as well as relaxation techniques, enabling her to effectively support individuals with various health needs.

By combining knowledge from the fields of yoga and rehabilitation, Asia assists her class participants in achieving harmony between body and spirit, which translates to better quality of life and health. Her sessions exemplify how yoga practice can be an effective tool in promoting health and well-being.
